Our client in the financial services industry with
operations in Lagos and Abuja, seeks to recruit a
qualifed candidate for this position:
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for
identifying and securing privatisation, merger &
acquisition deals, managing & investing large
monetary funds and buying & selling financial
products. He will steer the financial direction of
the division and undertake all strategic financial
planning & reporting to stakeholders. He will
handle all aspects of large transactions for a
business and maximize its bottom line
opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Deal structuring, negotiation and execution
especially in the area of Private Equity, Capital
Raising, Mergers & Acquisition, Capital
restructuring, Financial engineering, etc
Use financial modeling to predict outcomes
Lead teams involved in transactions and
ensure full statutory and regulatory
compliance
Preparation of legal documents and
prospectuses
Assess and predict financial risks and returns
Lead financial due diligence team
Liaise with accountants, lawyers, financial
experts and regulatory bodies
Negotiate and structure financial details
Provide investment advice, tactics and
recommendations
Support in targeting and winning business
Contribute to competitive bid proposals and
formal presentations
Qualification and Requirements
Articulate, both verbally and in writing
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to
communicate confidently with external clients
Objective, logical and enquiring mind
Strong analytical skills and methodical
Strong financial modeling skills
Diplomacy and tact, to give constructive client
feedback
Good project manager, with effective planning
and organisational skills
Management and leadership abilities

Self motivation
IT savvy
A Bachelor’s degree in any numerate discipline
(preferably in finance or accounting or
economics)
MBA an added advantage
Professional certifications (e.g. ACA, ACCA,
CFA/CPA, etc)
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in
Corporate Finance, Investment Banking or
Advisory
Sound knowledge of Generally Accepted
Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS
Good knowledge of the local and international
financial services industry
