Supreme Court Stops Saraki’s Trial At Code Of Conduct Tribunal

The Supreme Court on Thursday suspended proceedings at the trial of Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) pending the determination ofthe appeal filed by the politician at the apex court.
The court also said it would accelerate hearing on Saraki’s appeal.
A five-man panel of the court led by Justice John Fabiyi made the order afterthe Federal
Government’s counsel, Mr. Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), had asked the court to
give an undertaking that Saraki’s main appeal would be given an
accelerated hearing.
