Your platform is the combined resources you have at your disposal to share your ideas. It's whatever “stage” you have, and more.
A platform is what you stand on, where you stand and the stand you have taken.
A platform will enable you to  stand on the shoulders of those who have gone before you.

The Importance Of Platforms

In life, I have come to realise that we all needs platforms. No matter who you are, what you do, the depth of your knowledge or how gifted or talented you are, if you do not have a great platform to showcase your gifts and talents, the world may never get to see this.

I recall when DJ Cuppy was told the reason why she is so popular as a DJ is because of her father, the billionaire Femi Otedola.
I love the reply she gave.
She said, in life, we are all given platforms, and that she is most grateful to her father for providing that platform for her.

Another very notable example is our comedy industry, Ali Baba being the foremost mainstream comedian provided a platform for most of the notable comedians we have in the country today.
Imagine if he did not do that, we will never have experienced or known the creativity or the brilliance of such comic characters as AY, Basketmouth, and others.

Platforms are important!
I have been most blessed with some great platforms for which I am most eternally grateful.
Appreciate and treasure the platform you are given in life, because, just maybe, you will not be the person you are today, if not for these platforms.

We have various platforms in life.
Your local church is a platform, the association you belong to is a platform (e.g. EPI is a wonderful platform), social media is a platform.
Be strategic and deliberate about your platforms, give back to your platforms by genuinely contributing your quota to the platform that gave you a voice. Treasure your platforms.
