About SOCIAL DISTANCING - Ronald Kenneth
With the outbreak of the #Covid19 pandemic, the World Health Organization has advised as part of precautionary/preventive measures that people should avoid large crowds and maintain a social distance from each other of at least 1 metre (3 feet) especially from those who are showing symptoms of the infection.
What's SOCIAL DISTANCING???
According to the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Social distancing, also called “physical distancing,” means keeping space between yourself and other people outside of your home. To practice social or physical distancing:
•Stay at least 6 feet (2 meters) from other people
•Do not gather in groups
•Stay out of crowded places and avoid mass gatherings
While all these are true about the concept of social distancing, it's obvious that this period, lots of people are practicing social distancing in other to stay safe but right now, I'm looking at the Social Distancing concept from another perspective.
While it's the act of actually physically staying several inches away from people for health reasons, in my opinion, it could actually be an excuse to cut off from relationships, interactions and "friends" that mean you no good.
Now don't get me wrong. I don't mean you should totally cut off from them, but I mean you should give them some space for your future's sake.
There are some friends that "love you too much" to allow you achieve giant feats. They'd always come up with suggestions and plans that militate you from attaining great heights.
While others are outrightly wolves in sheep clothing, trying to stop you from achieving greatness, others go as far as coming up with excuses that make you so afraid of breaking the jinx and altering your status quo in other to achieve your big dreams.
My advice is simple: "Keep a reasonable SOCIAL DISTANCE from them."
Those who are too comfortable with the present cannot help you achieve the future.
