𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐒 - Ronald Kenneth
A few days ago, I decided to go to the saloon for a haircut. I took a stroll to my barber's shop only to discover that he wasn't around.
Oops!
Then I remembered my former barber's shop and I went there only to discover that my preferred barber was not available.
I saw another dude there and judging by his looks I was in doubt over his proficiency.
Oga, are you sure you can cut my hair well?
Then I sat down to get the hair cut.
Do you want this side to be cut? Skin or low (Guys would understand) and I replied skin.
Then he started.
I was a little distracted with my phone as I had messages flooding in. By the time I raise up my head to look at the mirror, I was in shock!
Oga what have you done to my hair.
This man was cutting rubbish oo...
So I thought, well: Worst case scenario would be to cut off the entire hair and I'd have to start afresh but then as I sat there watching him, before long, my hair was taking shape.
Anyway, I was still concerned because his clipper was acting up and other tools were just misbehaving so, I was stuck believing his dude will turn me into a clown!
Usually it would take my barber 15 minutes to give me a nice cut. But it's been over 20 minutes and this dude is no where done with the process....
Oh my God!
I wonder what would be the outcome of this time consuming exercise.
Well, soon enough I discovered that this guy had given me the most amazing haircut I have had in weeks.

Here are the moral lessons:
•𝐍𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐣𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐚 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐛𝐲 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫
I clearly judged the dude by his appearance which in this case was wrong. Bow I don't mean you should go ahead looking shabby because the book shouldn't be judged by the cover. Look your best but while you're at it be sure the container is not more valuable than the content.
•𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐟 𝐰𝐞 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞
Some of the best things in life comes to those who are patient. Patience should not be mistaken for laziness. While you're patiently waiting for your next level, be busy doing something productive with your life now.
•𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬
Nothing just happens. Everything happens in sequence and within the detects of a process. Don't try to run faster than your shadow.
Certain items within the process might not look like the outcome you presumed, but patiently go through. It always pays to follow through!
•𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞
Whether it's a day, two weeks, a year or a decade, time is an essential ingredient in ensuring that the process is completed.
Don't expect things to just happen for you. Things take time to attain completion and you must come to terms with that. You might want to hasten the process but take note of the fact that "The productive time you tamper with will hunt you in the future".
•𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬
No matter how much I love having my hair cut by my barber, if he isn't around and I can't wait for him, there is always someone else to handle the job.
Have alternatives!
People may not always be reliable and your life's processes should not be dependent on any single fellow. If want you want is not available at the moment, you'd most likely want to go for an alternative.
(Mind you, the alternative you seek should not be of a lower standard. Don't do that)

Thanks Sir. So inspiring more than I expected.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to add to what you've already said, but anyway here is My take - "There is something about you not raising up your head earlier on. Thank God you didn't.
If you had raised up your head, you would have panicked and spoiled the creative juices flowing out from that young barber.
THE MORAL
Sometimes we need to bow down our head focused on our goals in regard of our challenges. The things we see are tiny potatoes compared to the greatness ahead.
This is very true!
